This draft describes the Shimmerrock website as currently implemented. It is not a guarantee of legal compliance; the operational details noted at the end should be confirmed before this policy is treated as final.
Hosting and site visits
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like other hosting providers, Vercel may process technical request information to deliver, maintain, and protect the site. The application does not include a user account system, server-side contact form, mailing-list signup, or database for visitor submissions. Vercel's privacy policy describes its platform-level processing; the project source does not show the account-specific log retention settings.
Vercel Web Analytics
The application includes Vercel Web Analytics when built with NODE_ENV=production; it is not rendered during local development. The current integration records automatic page views only. No custom analytics events are configured.
According to Vercel's Analytics privacy documentation, Web Analytics does not use cookies and is designed to report anonymized, aggregated data. Vercel documents data points that can include a page URL or path, timestamp, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location, device type, operating system, and browser information. Its visitor hash is short-lived and discarded after 24 hours. Vercel controls its processing and report-retention terms.
Messages sent by email
Contact links open your email application and address a message to joshua.jacobson@shimmerrock.com. The website does not receive that message through a form or submission endpoint. If you choose to email, Shimmerrock receives the address and message you provide and may use them to respond and maintain business correspondence. Do not send confidential scripts, treatments, or unpublished manuscripts unsolicited.
Retailer and other external links
Book purchase links lead to Amazon. Following a retailer link takes you to that third party; Shimmerrock does not receive purchase details through the link. Vercel, Amazon, and any email service you use have their own privacy practices, which apply to your interactions with them.
Cookies, storage, and retention
The reviewed application code does not implement cookies, browser local storage, or session storage for site features. Vercel states that its Web Analytics does not use cookies. No cookie banner or consent manager is currently present. Messages sent to the company may remain in the recipient mailbox or its backups; a specific email provider and retention period could not be verified from the site implementation.
Shimmerrock does not operate a visitor-submission database on this site. Hosting and analytics data are handled under Vercel's platform terms and settings. The site source does not establish account-specific retention periods or a formal records schedule.

Where applicable law gives you rights concerning personal information, you may ask a question or make a request by emailing joshua.jacobson@shimmerrock.com with the subject “Shimmerrock privacy inquiry.” Please describe the request without including sensitive information that is not needed to identify it. The response and any available action depend on the information held and applicable law.
